Here's my contradiction: I am endlessly patient with everyone except myself. I'll wait out a slow learner, a slow talker, a slow line at the coffee shop — genuinely, no frustration — but the moment I make a mistake, I'm basically my own harshest critic with a red pen. It's a fun little character flaw I've been carrying around for years, and honestly, it keeps things interesting.

I spend my days shaping young minds, which sounds noble until you realize it mostly means I've developed an almost supernatural ability to explain anything to anyone. Ask me how a bill becomes a law, why the sky is blue, or what the lyrics to that Angel Olsen song actually mean — I will give you the clearest, most satisfying answer you've ever heard. My dark brown eyes will light up mid-explanation and I will absolutely not notice I'm clicking my pen the entire time. It's a gift, really. For both of us.

When I'm not overcommitting to work and then wondering why I'm tired, I'm deep in a playlist that probably makes me sound more emotionally complicated than I am. My golden hair is usually a little unkempt by the weekend, and that's probably the most honest version of me anyway.
