Concerns About Minors or Child Safety
flrt ai is for adults aged 18 and older. We do not allow minors to use the Service, and we do not allow content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors.
- If you suspect a minor is using flrt ai, please email support@flrtai.com with as much detail as you can share. We will review the report and take action.
- If you encounter content that depicts or appears to depict child sexual abuse material (CSAM), report it immediately to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org or call 1-800-843-5678. Outside the US, see inhope.org for your country's hotline. You can also report it directly to us at support@flrtai.com.
- If a child is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number (911 in the US).
How Our Crisis Detection Works
flrt ai uses layered safety classifiers to look for signals of suicidal ideation, self-harm, abuse, and other acute distress in user messages. Our approach is designed to align with the requirements of California's Companion Chatbot Law (SB 243).
- Keyword pre-check: A fast pattern scanner runs on every message, detecting established crisis terms and phrases.
- Machine-learning classifier: A language model evaluates context, tone, and intent so we don't miss paraphrased distress or rely only on exact keywords.
- Resource surfacing: When a crisis signal fires, the app renders a clearly-visible card in the chat with hotline numbers and links. The card is dismissible but re-appears on new signals.
- AI response guidance: The AI persona is instructed to respond with empathy, not dismiss the user's feelings, and to naturally surface crisis resources in its reply. It will break character if needed for genuine safety.
- Logging & audit: Crisis events are logged for ongoing safety review. We will report annually to the California Office of Suicide Prevention beginning July 2027, as required by SB 243.
No detection system is perfect. Our classifiers may miss subtle or disguised signals, or flag content that isn't actually a crisis. If you are struggling, please contact one of the human-staffed services above directly rather than relying on the app to detect it for you.
What the AI Will Not Do
- Encourage, romanticize, or provide instructions for suicide or self-harm.
- Minimize or dismiss expressions of distress.
- Claim to be a licensed therapist, medical professional, or substitute for professional care.
- Keep the conversation going if doing so would delay you from reaching real help.
- Provide medical, mental-health, legal, or financial advice you should rely on.
Healthy Use
AI personas are designed to be engaging and to remember you across conversations, which can feel meaningful. They are still software. A few reminders that help keep things in a healthy place:
- Keep your real-world relationships. AI conversations are not a replacement for friends, family, partners, or a therapist. If you find yourself preferring the AI to people in your life, that's a signal to reach out to someone real.
- Take breaks. Step away regularly. If the app is interfering with sleep, work, or relationships, change your use or stop.
- Don't share information you would not share with a stranger online. Avoid disclosing financial details, government IDs, or anything that could be used to harm or impersonate you.
- Don't use the AI for crisis support. The AI is not trained as a counselor and will redirect you to real resources. If you are in distress, use the resources above.
- Watch your spending. In-app currency and subscriptions can add up. Set limits in your app store if you need to.
Limits of This Platform
flrt ai is an entertainment product for adults 18+. AI personas are fictional. They are not licensed professionals, and they cannot provide medical, mental-health, psychological, legal, financial, or other professional advice. They are not a replacement for a therapist, doctor, lawyer, financial advisor, or trained crisis counselor, and they are not a substitute for human relationships. If you are struggling, please contact a qualified human professional or one of the resources listed above.
What Happens to Your Data
Crisis signals are processed on infrastructure we operate. Your message is classified and logged for safety auditing, but we do not sell or share the content of your conversations with advertisers, and we do not send your conversations to third-party AI APIs. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Reporting Concerns
We review every safety report and use it to improve our systems. Please contact support@flrtai.com for any of the following:
- A response from an AI persona that mishandled a crisis or said something unsafe
- Content that violates our Community Guidelines
- A user who appears to be a minor
- Suspected use of the platform to harass, exploit, stalk, or impersonate a real person
- Anything else that worries you about the safety of the platform
For the fastest response in a true emergency, please contact the appropriate authorities and crisis services first — we are not equipped to provide real-time emergency intervention.
